As our church grows and our ministry needs expand and grow more complex it is necessary that we adjust our guidelines for ministry calendaring, event promotion, and facility reservation. As of Monday, March 6, 2023 we are adopting the following guidelines. Although this is most directly applicable to ministry leaders, these guidelines apply broadly to the family of LBC. We want to keep you informed.
Here are the revised guidelines.
LBC Guidelines for Ministry Calendaring, Promotions, and Facility Reservation
Calendaring: LBC Ministry Team Leaders are responsible for communicating with the church ministry assistant (Lillian Tanner) any planned events in order that those events might be put on the church calendar.
Facility Reservation: LBC Ministry Team Leaders are responsible for contacting the church ministry assistant (Lillian Tanner) to reserve needed space within the church facilities. Church facilities are available to all ministry teams on a first come first served basis. Each ministry team is responsible for their own setup and take down. The default setup for all facilities is the setup required for Sunday School.
Promotion: LBC Ministry Team Leaders are responsible for communicating with the church ministry assistant (Lillian Tanner) any promotional materials for the bulletin, overhead screens, internet, and social media. This includes all wording and design for such promotions. The deadline for submitting this information will be two weeks prior to the first Sunday desired to begin promotion.
- Images for slides must be 16:9 ratio and can also be used for the website and Facebook.
- Flyers for the bulletin are 5.5" x 8.5" and will be included one week. (Typically the first week of the promotion.)
- For the duration of the promotion, a box under "Upcoming Events" in the bulletin will include name, date, location, and a short description. It may include a small graphic (usually a QR code).
- The week of the event, the event will be listed under "This Week's Activities".
LBC Email Policy
As our church family grows, so too do the needs for prayer requests and church-related announcements to be communicated with others within the family. Therefore, it is necessary for us to establish appropriate protocols to guide this process. As of today, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, the following guidelines will govern email communications regarding prayer requests, updates, and announcements.
- Prayer requests and announcements received by 11:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, will be sent out the same day.
- If an announcement/reminder needs to go out Friday through Sunday, please submit it by 11:00 AM on Thursday and indicate the date/time it should be scheduled to be sent.
- Prayer requests and announcements may be submitted in any of the following ways:
- Email them to prayer@lakesidebaptistchurch.org.
- Call the church office at 706-485-0835. After hours, please leave a voicemail.
- Fill out a “Connect Card,” found in the seat pockets in the worship center, and place it in the office drop box or offering collection box.
Emergency (Life & Death) emails will be evaluated and processed on an individual basis.
